Attestation Service for Account Opening

Without visiting Hong Kong, customers can simply complete our account opening form at designated branches/ sub-branches of NCB(China) in various cities in the Mainland of China to open accounts with us easily and quickly.

Customer can apply for the following accounts and services via our Attestation Service:

  • NCB Wealth Management or Enrich Banking Service

  • Multi-currency Savings Account
  • Internet Banking and Phone Banking

Documents Required for Account Opening

Individuals aged 18 or above who are accountholders of the wealth management customers of NCB (China) can visit any of the designated branches/sub-branches of NCB (China) in person and provide the original copy of Documents Required for Opening Personal Accounts* to complete the account opening procedures.

*Mainland residents who open accounts through attestation service shall additionally provide valid Visa proof with limit of stay of 90 days or above, or with “multiple” number of entries and validity period of 90 days or above.

Remark: Apart from the Documents Required for Opening Personal Accounts, we may request the applicants to provide additional documents where necessary.

Useful Tips

After opened an account with us, customer can open Current or Securities accounts via our Internet Banking at any time based on your financial need.

  1. Customers becoming NCB Wealth Management customers via our Attestation Service can enjoy first 2-year monthly service fee waiver. Starting from the beginning of the twenty-fifth month after account opening, the related packaged account monthly service fee will be levied if the customer’s “Total Relationship Balance” falls below the amount designated by the Bank. The relevant fee amount will be subject to the service charge quoted by the Bank from time to time. For details, please contact the staff of the Bank.
  2. For the asset types included in Packaged Account Service and the calculation of “Total Relationship Balance”, please refer to the NCB Wealth Management Service Fees:

  1. Attestation Service for Account Opening is only applicable to accountholders of the wealth management customers of NCB (China) aged 18 or above.
  2. The above products, services and offers are subject to terms. For details, please refer to relevant promotion materials or contact the staff of the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the above products, services and offers, and amend the relevant terms at any time at its sole discretion.
  3. In case of any disputes, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
  4. Should there be any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.

The fluctuation in the exchange rate of RMB may result in losses in the event that the customer converts RMB into HKD or other foreign currencies. RMB is currently not fully freely convertible. Individual customers can be offered CNH rate to conduct conversion of RMB through bank accounts and may occasionally not be able to do so fully or immediately, for which it is subject to the RMB position of the banks and their commercial decisions at that moment. Customers should consider and understand the possible impact on their liquidity of RMB funds in advance.
