In line with the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme (MPF Scheme) launched by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government with the aim that all workforce in Hong Kong are ensured with sufficient retirement protection, the Bank of China (International) and Prudential have jointly launched an attractive MPF scheme, bringing to you comprehensive service and extra comfort.

The MPF Scheme stipulates that both employers (including those self-employed) and employees contribute to the Scheme which is managed by an MPF service provider authorized by the government.

Even though the employer has set up for his/her employees a retirement scheme in accordance with the ORSO Scheme and has applied to the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme Authority (MPFA) for exemption, he/she still has to offer a choice of the existing retirement scheme or the newly introduced MPF Scheme for employees to choose from, when the MPF Scheme was launched

The MPFA has been established and tasked to approve, register and monitor the operation of the MPF Scheme.
